Dear Sir;
I have a metal shingle roof installed 23 years.Material used Zappone aluminum shingle and roof top guard two underlayment.The underlayment has failed and paint coming off shingle .Temperature of shingle 151 degrees ,please advise?
If the coating on the product is failing, you should contact the manufacturer regarding a warranty claim. As far as the underlayment … if the roof installation is leaking, it would be unreasonable to expect any underlayment to keep that water out for 23 years. Long term protection from poor roof installations is not a role that underlayment plays. The roof system must be installed properly.
